Humanitarian Projects

Cantonuovo with its founders, Maurizio Tiezzi, Fabrizio Tiezzi, Angela Tancredi, and others numerous volunteers, is actively engaged since 2003 in several projects of humanitarian assistance to the poor, orphans and needy families in many countries, mainly in Kenya and Uganda. Here, thanks to the support of qualified local operators, have started an intense activity supporting many young people and disadvantaged families also cooperating with some educational institutions to provide infrastructures and training programs. "Lake View" project, Holy Cross School, Jinja, Uganda 

The project, started in 2005, has already allowed the construction, inside the Holy Cross Senior Secondary School, of a dormitory for 200 girls and the purchase of a generator of electricity. The school district must now be relocated to another site and need two dorms, one male and one female, to give an accommodation to about 800 students. The estimated cost for the completion of the project is 710,000 euros.

"James Orphans" project, Uganda and Kenya

The project active since 2003, is personally followed by James Burasa, responsible for the East Africa District (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda) of the Holy Cross Congregation. The project, the cost for 2010 is 6,800 euros, provides the livelihoods for 8 poor and orphan girls so that, through the completion of studies, high schools (4 in Uganda) and universities (3 in Uganda and 1 in Kenya), they can develop Christian leadership skills and be a guide in their nations.

"Priscilla" project, Uganda

The project began in 2006 and provides support for two children, very poor and from indigent family, living in For Portal, Western Uganda, so that they can complete elementary schools. The project is overseen by Priscilla Busingye, who is a doctor and over the years has been caring for the two children and placing them in schools. The contribution of 600 euros in 2010 the Foundation intends to pay is to cover all medical and school costs for the two children.

"Miria Orphans" project, Kenya

Miriam is 26 years old. She has three brothers and one sister aged between 9 and 20 years. After the death of both parents and having lost everything, the children have lived in a state of extreme poverty. The contribution that the Foundation has earmarked for this project in 2010 is 1,200 euros, and will enable these children to attend school and have a board.

Musical Projects

Fondazione Cantonuovo produces artistic and musical works organizing concerts in many countries. The aim is to bring in a new and effective way the Word of God through music to free the spirit of people, spread the music as a means of free expression of thought and faith, finding common ground between people, nations, cultures, people of every age, social class and ethnicity.

"Salmo Nuovo" Project

Fabrizio Tiezzi created the project "Salmo Nuovo" with the aim to put into music all the Psalms of the Bible using musical styles such as rock and other genres. The music is carefully arranged, taste new, modern and original. The involvement of professional musicians and emerging young from various European nations gives to the project, unique in Italy, a high level of quality and international scope of openness.

"Concerts" Projects and musical productions

Fondazione Cantonuovo organizes concerts of contemporary music produced by its artists and musicians in order to free the spirit of the people and bring healing.
It also produces and distributes for free their musical works translated into several languages as a means of spreading the message of Jesus Christ.
