Born in Siena, Maurizio Tiezzi intertwined his solid legal career with a deep spiritual vocation in a unique life journey.
His life took a decisive turn after a personal conversion culminating in the baptism in the Holy Spirit received in 2000, which radically transformed his relationship with Jesus Christ. Following this experience, together with his brother Fabrizio and sister-in-law Angela, he founded the Christian community “Cantonuovo,” a reality they actively lead and support in Italy and Slovakia.
Since then, Maurice has devoted himself to preaching, prayer for healing and deliverance, and biblical teaching focused on the Kingdom of God, desiring to give practical help for effective Christian living.
A lawyer since 1990, he expanded his training by becoming a professional counselor with a transactional-analytical focus in the relational education field in 2014, integrating these skills into a comprehensive service to the individual.
He gained his spiritual experience both in the Catholic sphere during the development of humanitarian projects in Kenya and Uganda from 2003 to 2011, and in the Pentecostal sphere for specific biblical training on the Kingdom of Heaven in the Bahamas between 2006 and 2014.
His spiritual, social and philanthropic commitment has been expressed through co-founding and chairing the organizations “Il Canto Nuovo Onlus” and “Cantonuovo ETS Foundation,” within the latter of which he currently carries out his mission to help people have a personal encounter with Jesus, promoting spiritual development, healthy interpersonal relationships and individual autonomy.
A recognized speaker and trainer in the international Christian arena, Mauritius teaches in seminars, thematic workshops and Bible schools. He is also the author of texts that help believers grow in faith and awareness of their identity in Christ: “Life in 4D” (2013 – also in English and Slovak) and “In Principle” (2024). In recognition of his commitment to theological study, he was awarded a doctorate in “Kingdom Philosophy” from KME University, USA.
Maurizio is married to Andrea, his partner also in ministry, and is the father of two daughters and a grandfather. He lives and serves between Siena and Bratislava.
