The church does not need to change the destiny of the world, but to offer everyone living in this world the chance to step into their own destiny. For this world in its present form will pass away, but eternal life will never pass away. Yeshua was, and still is, seeking the heart of every person, just as his disciples do.<\/h4>\n

Yeshua did not speak much about the \u2018church\u2019. Essentially, he said only that:<\/p>\n

(i) he himself will build his own congregation;<\/p>\n

(ii) it must be built upon his very person and his revealed identity;<\/p>\n

(iii) it cannot be overcome by the powers of darkness.<\/p>\n

Thus, its founder and head clearly stated that his Church can be built by him alone and upon himself alone, he who is theanointed Son of God who comes to save all human beings from their sins by redeeming humanity through his atoning sacrifice, and also the glorious King who will come again to definitively re-establish his kingdom on earth, destroying his enemies and gathering his own to himself so that they may reign with him.<\/p>\n

The members of Yeshua\u2019s Church can only be those who are compatible with their living foundation, the Messiah: both Jews and Gentiles, they are those who accept God\u2019s new covenant, trusting in him and living faithfully for him, whom they honour and worship as their personal Lord and King of all. These alone are chosen by God to form the royal priesthood and the holy nation destined to reign forever with the Lord God. There will not be many. Yeshua said so.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Church of the Messiah possesses such authority delegated from Heaven that the powers of darkness will not prevail against it. This means that whilst the Church continues to bear witness to all nations, a cosmic war is already underway between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light; and the Church is fully embroiled in it and cannot pretend that there is no spiritual war to be fought and won. How can anyone who calls themselves a Christian ignore such a problem, when this is the only thing Yeshua said about his Church? Or tolerate idolatry, practise lawlessness, and even feel so at ease with it as to wage war against the Holy Spirit rather than against the devil, corrupt human nature, and the world? Unless, by now, being a Christian means something other than being a true disciple of Yeshua. Perhaps \u2018Christian\u2019 has, sadly, become synonymous with \u2018convert\u2019 or \u2018churchgoer\u2019 or \u2018believer\u2019.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, today a wide range of different visions for the church is widely accepted within Christianity, so anything goes, as long as it is \u2018politically correct\u2019. Eclecticism, relativism and ecumenism have become highly exalted values, just as much as celebrating self-idolatry and worshipping idols. Millions of self-styled Christians are involved in witchcraft, divination and necromancy, or practise the worship of Asherah (an ancient female deity mentioned throughout the Bible, also called the Queen of Heaven by Jeremiah and the Diana of Ephesus by Luke), the cult of Moloch (sacrificing children through abortion and paedophilia) or of Baphomet (the male \u2018god\u2019 of the many and varied powerful diabolical and worldly congregations). Many others honour Eastern idols, even welcoming and transmitting the Kundalini as if it were the Holy Spirit. For far too many of them, it has become normal to call themselves Christians whilst at the same time celebrating Halloween, practising homosexuality and using Jesus to promote themselves, make money, gain power and do as they please under the \u2018cover\u2019 of God\u2019s grace.<\/p>\n

\nWhilst every member of Yeshua\u2019s congregation is committed to expanding the Kingdom of Heaven, as their priority is to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, many \u201cbelievers\u201d instead aspire to join a religious club called \u201cchurch\u201d or \u201cChristianity\u201d where they can delegate responsibility for their own lives to others, expect to receive social services, or engage in certain activities just to feel alive. In fact, Christians often do not seek the inner witness of the Holy Spirit within themselves, but rather external confirmation derived from whatever social success their activities may bring; they also frequently delegate their choices to church authorities, just as those who lead a church make choices on behalf of their people, perhaps thinking they are responsible for them. It is like a dysfunctional symbiosis, based on renunciations and the relinquishment of power, so that it results in passivity on the one hand and control on the other. Passivity thus justifies complaints, criticism and self-pity; control justifies manipulation. It is a vicious circle, which nevertheless keeps these \u2018Christians\u2019 occupied. Furthermore, Christian parents often delegate their authority over their children to the churches, instead of taking on that responsibility and teaching them at home.<\/p>\n

Instead, members of the Church of Yeshua gather to praise and worship their heavenly Father. They are all equipped and trained to be responsible, authentic and self-reliant; to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit within them; to expand the kingdom of God by making disciples of Yeshua, baptising them in the Name, teaching them to conform their lives to all the instructions the Messiah gave, and preaching the good news of the kingdom to all; and as they go, they cast out demons, heal the sick, encourage, exhort and comfort the people they meet.<\/p>\n

The true Church is made up of holy and faithful royal priests, who love one another as Yeshua loved each of them. They are not rebellious. They have faith, they trust and entrust their lives to God. They forgive, they are humble and meek, and they live for him and not for themselves. They do not gather to solve their own problems, but to meet God, in whose presence all problems can be resolved.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Church of the Messiah functions as a place of healing, like the inn in Luke 10:25\u201337, where people can be brought to be healed of their wounds; or like the house in Luke 15:11\u201332, where the Father can clothe them in the robe of righteousness, place the family seal upon their finger like a ring, and put sandals on their feet so that they may be set apart from the world and feel at ease as they go forth to preach the Gospel with zeal.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, the life of the Church must be expressed in righteousness, responsible authority, holiness, mercy, faithfulness, and zeal for spreading the message of the Kingdom and for bearing powerful witness to the resurrection of Yeshua.<\/p>\n

These things, among many others, mark Yeshua\u2019s true vision for his Church. If we do not see them in our lives, in our ministry and in our communities, we should reset everything and ask God for a fresh start. Blessed be His name, for His mercy endures forever!<\/p>\n
